An independent survey by Capital Economics for the RICS estimated that British businesses overpay £300 million in business rates.
Is your business one of them?
Business Rate Appeals
Business rates are the second largest fixed overhead of any company, but the good news is you have the right to appeal your company’s business rates.
This is the final year to appeal the 2010 rates. New Rateable Values commence in April 2017, so if you haven’t appealed your 2010 rates by March 2017 you will have lost the opportunity. Appeals do take months rather than weeks, so we urge you to exercise your right as soon as possible.
Since 1990 we have successfully negotiated the re-assessment and reduction of rateable values on a wide range of commercial properties including:-
- Retail Shops
- School & Educational Establishments
- Sports & Recreational Centres
We are well known to the Valuations office with whom we retain a good relationship. There are of course no guarantees when appealing your business rates; however, once we take instruction from you, we will look to assess your property thoroughly. Please be assured that we will use our expertise to secure a reduction, or confirm if we believe your assessment to be reasonable and fair.
Our fees are entirely based on success. In the last few years we have saved our clients in excess of two million pounds.
