Homebuyer Report

Our Homebuyer Report is less comprehensive than a Full Building Survey, but it gives a good indication of the state of the property you are considering purchasing and its level of repair and maintenance.

At Chauntry Surveying, we report on all visible parts of the property, identifying issues such as:-

  • Subsidence and foundation problems
  • Roof repairs
  • Damp
  • Insulation requirements
  • Timber defects – main walls, external & internal joinery
  • Internal and external decoration.

We will look at all services, including gas, water, heating, drainage etc and identify any visible defects.  The report does not look into building regulations or consents for any extensions or conservatories.  We will highlight this information in our report, but we will urge you to raise these issues with your solicitor, to confirm that all regulations have been satisfied.
